Overview

Founded some 1500 years ago, Venice is built on a series of mud flats off the North East coast of Italy. It became established as Europe's main trading post, and over the years, has been home to famous writers such as Ruskin and Lord Byron.

It is certainly a city of fabulous facades, and famous films shot here include Death in Venice, Don't Look Now and Moonraker. It is an enchanting and romantic city, and it promises to give you some of the most beautiful scenery in Italy.

Morning

• Breakfast in the breakfast room or on the breathtaking veranda
  

Late Morning

• Murano, Burano and Torcello
  Transfer to Murano by motorlaunch.

  Visit of Venier Glass factory – special welcome by Director and private demonstration of glass blowing techniques
  Continue to Burano for visit of lace-making studio
  Continue to Torcello, visit of the church and walk to lunch

Lunch

• Lunch at Locanda Cipriani on Torcello

Afternoon

Afternoon options could be:

• At leisure for shopping or spa treatments at the hotel
• Visit of the Doge’s Palace (2 hours)
• Visit of the Accademia picture gallery (2 hours)

Evening

• Evening at Palazzo Ca’ Zenobio.
  Cocktails on arrival with violinist
  Seated 5 course dinner with fine wines, catered by Harry’s Bar
  Intermezzo during dinner with pianist and opera singer
  After dinner transfer back to hotel by Motoscafo
